Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the power goes out?
Three AA batteries keep the feeder running on schedule when mains power drops. They are not included, and fitting them is the single most important setup step if you ever leave your pet alone with it.
What food does it take?
Dry kibble only. Wet and semi moist food clogs the dispensing mechanism and spoils in the hopper. Very large or oddly shaped pieces can also bridge and jam.
Which capacity should I choose?
The 3L suits a cat or small dog, while the 6L holds more for a larger dog or a longer stretch between refills. There is also a 6L with a double bowl if you feed two pets from one unit.
Can I leave my pet alone with it for a weekend?
Any automatic feeder can jam or lose power, so it is not a substitute for someone checking in on your pet. Use it for daily routine and short absences, and have a person visit for anything longer.
How do I clean it?
The stainless steel bowl lifts out for washing. Empty the hopper and wipe it dry every few weeks, since kibble dust and oils build up and are what eventually cause jams.
